Culture fit. The umbrella term used in Family Office Recruitment to describe just about anything that that falls outside of academic qualifications and work experience.

We use the term to determine the cultural impact a candidate might have on a Family Office, the alignment of their values, purpose and even political views and often take into consideration their temperament, confidence and emotional intelligence.

While in the corporate world competence is everything, in the world of Family Offices culture is key but at what point does ‘Culture Fit’ serve as more of a hindrance than a help?

Family Offices are small organisations, often made of less than five people with a very low turnover. Each hire as a result has to be strategically placed, taking into consideration the impact this one individual could have on the team, environment and also, the family.

With this in mind, we understand just how important it is for a person to fit into the culture of a Family Office but is language a nice-to-have offering or a culture fit requirement?

Today we have two Investment mandates, both of which serve as incredible opportunities to oversee a diverse portfolio. If it were not for the ‘culture fit’ requirements, we would have a shortlist of 50 candidates ready to go but the requirement for two Russian Speakers is making the task incredibly tricky.

Rather than admit defeat, we thought this was the perfect opportunity to introduce you to our candidate referral scheme.

If you know a Russian-Speaking and Investment-Driven Candidate for either of the below roles – please reach out and if successful, we’ll give you the fee!

Senior Investment Manager/ CIO – Single Family Office, London
Financial Analyst – Single Family Office, Europe
