An established Private Family Office is looking to expand the investment team by recruiting a new Senior Finance Officer. Working closely with the CEO and CIO this person will add value to the team with experience from within the finance sector. They will report to and work closely with the Finance Director.
As a member of a small team, strong interpersonal skills are essential as well as is an ability to work independently with the capacity to prioritize assignments and effectively manage their time.
Experience working with high net worth individuals with a high attention to detail is advantageous. The Family Office would also like to find a problem solver who is intellectually curious.
Leading on the introduction of enhanced software products to further the accounting, reporting and analysis of the portfolio of investments will be a key priority.
Required Skills
- Qualified ACA
- Post Qualification Experience in financial Services
- Good understanding investment types, public, private, private equity funds, structured products, derivatives. Experience with fair value calculations among funds and between classes with different preference rights.
- Responsible for month-end and year-end close of financial statements, account reconciliations, general ledger analysis, and annual audits.
- Good understanding of KYC/AML/CRS/FATCA reporting requirements
- Strong Fluency with Excel formulas and functions
- Outstanding organisational skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills
The Role
- Working with the investment team on legal, tax and structuring family office investments
- Knowledge of KYC, FATCA, CRS…
- Cash management
- Reviewing/vetting investment documentation and overseeing the execution process
- Transactional accounting across investment entities
- Investment valuations and reconciliations
- Preparation of investment reports, performance analysis, benchmarking
- Supervising and supporting bookkeeper in preparing property and administration company accounts.
- Payroll and benefits for UK staff
- Managing IT and communications systems
- Liaising with Trustees in administering companies and trusts and preparing annual accounts
- Responding to requests for and preparing KYC info.
Remuneration will be commensurate with the duties and demands of the role and the experience of the candidate and likely to be between £75,000 and £100,000 basic.
