A specialist global provider of outsourced corporate, fund and private client administration, reporting and fiduciary services are hiring for a brand new Operations Director position.

The Role:

To provide strong and inspirational leadership to the Management team. In consultation with the Board to implement effective succession planning, people management, development, recruitment, and retention strategies for staff.

Manage the performance of direct reports through the formal performance management system and hold regular performance conversations whilst ensuring all team members have up to date and current job descriptions and goals.

  • Statutory Director of the business in Malta
  • Manage and grow Operations Department in line with the needs of the business
  • Management Information including internal and external statutory reporting
  • Development and management of KPI’s relevant for the business
  • Implement, maintain, and manage an effective system of controls, covering non-financial as well as financial controls
  • Ensuring Compliance Function and Compliance Officer operates on a best practices’ basis
  • Ensuring AML Function and AML Officer operates on a best practices’ basis
  • Company Secretarial function for the business (not clients)
  • Client Accounting function
  • Audit of Pension Plans
  • US reporting for Pension plans
  • Manage IT function and links to IT Department
  • Chair Risk Oversight Committee
  • Be a Member of Internal Audit Committee

The successful candidate will need to:

  • Hold a relevant professional qualification including full Chartered and/or Certified Accountant and/or cost and management accountant and/or Institute of internal Auditors.
  • Have sound commercial skills.
