A Single Family Office is looking to hire a qualified Accountant, educated to degree level, to join a dynamic and expanding Family Office based in West London. You will be responsible for financial reporting, cash management, and overseeing transaction processing, tax and insurance. You will also act as Finance Director for a new charitable trust, working in the field of conservation, and more generally offer financial advice and guidance to support the entrepreneurial initiatives of the rising generation.
The role offers scope for developing and streamlining systems and controls. There is also scope for career progression in the role.
You will be supported by the Family Office PA and line managed by the Head of Family Office but will also report directly to the principals as needed.
You should be able to present financial information clearly and concisely but also be comfortable with detailed analysis if required.
This position will suit an individual who is discreet and adaptable and who will enjoy the variety and learning opportunities a Family Office role affords.
Duties will include:
- Management reporting to include monthly and annual reports, trend analysis and exception reporting.
- Preparation of information needed for tax returns and liaison with tax advisers
- Cash flow forecasting
- Maintenance of personal and trading accounting records and oversight of bill payment
- Management and scrutiny of staff credit cards
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Payroll administration (supported by a bureau) and liaison with the tax advisers on P11D and PSA reporting
- Other projects and assistance as required
Charitable Trust:
- Act as the trust’s administrator, ensuring that trustees are fully briefed by programme staff, and on financial matters
- Carrying out due diligence on grant applications as needed
- Managing the payment of grants awarded and reviewing grantee reports in conjunction with programme staff
- Ensuring compliance with Charity Commission best practice

Remuneration will be commensurate with the duties and demands of the role and the experience of the successful candidate but likely in the range of £50,000 – £65,000
