An incredibly rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious, results-driven and detail-orientated Lawyer to join a well-established Single Family Office in London.
Our client is seeking a UK Corporate/ Tax Lawyer with experience in construction or real estate to join them on a 12 month contract with a view of becoming a permanent employee.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Legal who is based overseas and take on a varied role which will involve written and verbal communication in Russian.
Requirements:
- Strong technical drafting skills, capable of drafting complex English Law transactional documents in M&A and debt finance transactions
- A good understanding of construction and real-estate
- Good research skills, capable of conducting efficient research on matters of law beyond their specialism
- Prior experience in corporate governance, HR and compliance matters, capable of designing and drafting internal policies and procedures
- The ability to manage transactions with minimum supervision under tight deadlines
- Prior experience at a Family Office/ Asset Management or Private Equity Firm
Responsibilities:
- Legal Support and Co-ordination of ongoing restructuring projects including the restructuring of various assets overseas
- Managing outside counsel, review of documentation and assistance with structuring issues
- Assisting and Co-ordinating projects including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other investments and disposals
- Liaising with stakeholders, shareholders and service providers across the world
- Assisting with the incorporation and registration of companies in various jurisdictions
- Drafting relevant documentation and supervising the maintenance of legal documentation,
- Assisting with he transfer of ownership of companies
- Assisting stakeholders with all legal matters required, relevant to their personal and professional life such as marriages, birth, succession planning
- Analysing legislation and preparing legal memorandum on set issues, prepare and review contracts
- Review of legal and tax memorandum and tax rulings prepared by external specialists
- Analysing tax legislation relating to certain jurisdictions
- Assisting with the preparation of lease agreements and preparing general contractors and service agreements for the construction and maintains of real estate assets
- Adhoc legal support to charitable foundations managed by the Family Office
- Regular participation in Family Office meetings and assistance to other Family Office teams when required
- Fluent in English and Russian
- Prior Family Office experience would be advantageous
The Family Office are seeking an ambitious professional, keen to advance their personal knowledge and skillset. Salary: £65,000 + benefits and bonuses
