An independently owned group of companies that provide a wide range of bespoke professional services to private individuals, families and international corporate clients is looking to hire a Group Financial Accountant.

This role could be based in Jersey, Guernsey, UK or the Isle of Man and offers hybrid working.

This new position, working as part of the Group Finance team and reporting to into the Chief Financial Officer, will focus on collating, analysing, reporting and forecasting on the company’s people-related data, helping to leverage systems and develop better MI to improve oversight and control of the investment they make in people.

You will work closely with the Group Finance and HR teams to consolidate and enhance financial reporting from the global HR Information System, payroll solutions and other data sources.

In addition, the successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a close team and providing support across the broader group Finance function in response to business needs and strategic priorities.

Job Accountabilities

  • Implement systems and processes to establish global MI to report on all costs related to human resources
  • Demonstrate the ROI of our people investments
  • Support our growth strategy with cost projections and modelling linked to people related expenditure
  • Develop tools to analyse productivity and efficiencies and, through analysis, provide recommendations and insights to improve these
  • Centralise complex data from multiple sources/systems and streamline for business users
  • Support the HR team with system development and data integrity
  • Ad hoc support on any other finance related projects or tasks as required by the CFO/Group Executive Committee.

Education and Experience

  • Fully qualified professional accountant (ACCA or equivalent)
  • Proven experience of finance process improvement
  • Experience of working with HR and payroll systems would be an advantage

Skills and Knowledge

  • Excellent data analysis skills with a passion for improvement
  • Excellent IT skills, with a particular requirement for advanced excel skills
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a desire to identify opportunities and take ownership for implementing improvements
  • Work as part of a global team, demonstrating a flexibility approach, open communication and willingness to contribute across multiple initiatives

Remuneration will be commensurate with the duties and demands of the role and the experience of the successful candidate but likely in the range of £55,000 – £70,000. Negotiable depending on experience.
