An award-winning organization providing advisory and accountancy services to UHNW Families across America is looking for an Assurance Manager to join their large Family Office division. Experience or familiarity with Addepar, Masttro and/or Intact investment management software is highly desirable.
The Family Assurance group is a new division that provides strategic accounting and consulting services to ultra-high net worth individuals and family clients. The services provided range from simple data analysis and internal controls advice to oversight of complex organizational restructuring, setup of financial reporting systems, and execution of intergenerational wealth management strategies. The Family Assurance group is a division of the firm’s Family Office department.
Responsibilities
The Family Assurance Manager will be an integral part of the growing Family Assurance group, managing a small team of staff and senior associates and ongoing projects, and providing diversified administrative and day-to-day support to the Family Assurance Management Team in the service of our clients. Duties
Responsible for providing multiple clients with a variety of services, including but not limited to:
- Financial projections and complex investment and tax modeling
- Internal control best practices advice, including policies and procedures documentation
- Implementation and maintenance of real-time investments and collections reporting software programs and related accounting controls
- Researching and resolving complex accounting matters and financial reporting issues
- Coordinating independent audit engagements for entities, funds, and foundations
- Overseeing trust accounting, forensic accounting, lender verification, and agreed-upon procedures projects
- Supervising and mentoring the Family Assurance staff and senior associates
- Responding to client requests and inquiries
- Managing client relationships on a day-to-day basis
- Handling special projects as needed.
Requirements
- Experience or familiarity with Addepar, Masttro and/or Intact investment management software highly desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance
- CPA or CPA eligible preferred
- 6 to 9 years of progressive accounting/bookkeeping experience
- 3 plus years of professional services experience preferred
- 3 plus years of supervisory experience
- Team management skills including ability to lead, direct and coach staff
- Ability to build & cultivate strong personal relationships with peers within the firm and the business community
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong project management and client service skills
- Solid understanding and working knowledge of GAAP and financial statements
- High attention to detail, problem solver & intellectually curious
- Adhere to the highest level of confidentiality
Compensation: $150,000 – $180,000 per annum plus bonus and excellent benefits including [encouraged] unlimited PTO, health insurance, 401k and more.
