A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen within a Trust and Corporate Service provider based in London. This senior role will involve managing key client relationships, new business development, board support and general business plan for the UK business.
Client Relationships
To be responsible for the overseeing of several managed client entities within the UK and to provide high level oversight and support to the administration teams.
Entities to be mixed in terms of activity and client principal location but predominantly to include:
- Real Estate clients
- Investment holding/discretionary managed investment portfolios
- US associated structures
- Company Secretarial portfolio
Excellent knowledge of UK Trust and Company law and to keep up-to-date with legislative changes.
Business Development
The director will be expected to source new business leads and bring in new business using existing contacts in the industry but also by sourcing new contacts (by attending intermediary events and other business development initiatives).
It should be noted that the director will not be solely responsible for business development but that this will form a key part of their role and objectives.
The role will also require the director to have an insight into the current industry market to spot opportunities for additional service lines and to report these to our executive committee to take forward. All new initiatives will need to be submitted with a summary of the likely benefits (both financially and for clients) as well as any potential risks and costs involved.
Board Support
The individual will form part of the Board. The director will be expected to attend local board meetings and contribute to these meetings. This will include the following:
- Obtaining feedback from the teams on any changes that they would like considered for implementation
- Thinking of ways the business can run more efficiently/be streamlined
- Coming up with marketing ideas for improving the Company profile
- Contributing ideas for opportunities within the market as well as how we implement a strategy to capitalise on these opportunities
- Providing updates on current client issues/opportunities
- Providing updates on new business generated and future pipeline cases
