A Family Office is hiring for a qualified Accountant and will consider full-time and part-time applicants. This is a very flexible role where hybrid working will also be offered.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the book-keeping and accounting of the global investment portfolio and will oversee the cash flows within Private Equity investments and a wider range of business and family interests. They will provide the Principal with clarity on all financial matters related to the Family Office so that assets are managed in the most efficient and appropriate way.
Specific duties and responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of global asset portfolio reporting, comprising property, business shares, private equity and other investments. Monthly analysis of performance and provision of executive summary reporting
- Manage liquidity and draw down of appropriate funds from investment portfolio to support future investments
- Liaising with tax advisors for the preparation of the family’s personal tax returns and monitoring of residency status/ties (e.g. reviewing travel tracker/day count prepared by personal assistant)
- Reviewing financial statements (e.g. Trust accounts) and assisting with the drafting of legal documents (e.g. staff contracts and NDAs), completing KYC and other requirements
- Assistance and liaison with audit and tax advisors, including reviewing personal tax returns under a non-dom / non-UK resident tax status
- Liaison with banks and management of all bank accounts
- Cash flow forecasting and analysis of living expenses and household running costs
- Oversight of a wider range of family interests, including execution and management of capital expenditure, household expenses, payroll and third-party transactions
- Ad hoc tasks as required
There is also an opportunity to work as part of the group finance team of a private equity backed company that the Principal founded.
Specific duties and responsibilities will include:
- Maintenance of intercompany loan schedules, engaging with global finance teams to ensure accuracy of reconciliations.
- Ensure open communication between Head Office and local finance teams to enable smooth month end and annual reporting, and timely resolution of issues
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting reconciliations for the head office holding companies, including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow Statement
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly investor, lender and rating agency reporting schedules
- Weekly consolidation and reporting of group cash balances
- Completion of statutory accounts for head office entities
- Support during the group statutory audit including reviewing individual operating company submissions, preparation of certain financial statement notes, and responding to general audit queries on head office entities.
