A newly created Family Office based in New York is looking at making several key hires to their team. One of the key roles is for a Financial Analyst. This position will be extremely broad, as with most roles within a Family Office. You will be the main Financial Analyst for all investment opportunities in the Family Office. This is an excellent opportunity to join the substantial Family Office of a high-profile business person and be integral in the growth of their investments.

Position Summary:
This position will report to the CEO and work closely with the Principal, focusing on providing due diligence and analysis into a wide range of investments. There is a large volume of deal flow. However, the area of investment expertise that needs to be added is Private Equity and Venture Capital opportunities. A large percentage of the investments will be through direct investment and early-stage venture.

Primary Duties:

  • The successful candidate will have strong financial modeling skills and be comfortable creating investment reports and monitoring financial positions and budgets. There is no need to bring a deal flow as there is a strong flow into the Family Office due to the principal’s network. They anticipate completing between 5 – 10 deals per year.
  • Ideal candidates will be intelligent, detail-orientated with a drive and self-starter personality.
  • Preferably have experience working within a Family Office or smaller venture capital firm.

Skills and experience:

  • University undergraduate degree.
  • 5+ years of prior relevant work experience at a venture capital firm or family office.
  • Well-developed understanding of financial concepts and modeling skills.
  • Ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative industry/sector analysis and company due diligence.
  • Excellent writing and communications skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.

Additional information:

  • Good knowledge of the Venture Capital and industry and relevant participants.

Compensation and benefits:

  • Salary: $150,000 – $200,000 + quarterly bonus
