A Single Family Office investing globally across a mix of asset classes (hotels, residential real estate, industrial, private equity, venture capital) is looking to appoint a Senior Family Office Accountant. The Family office has a variety of companies, Trusts and charities.

You will be responsible for financial reporting, cash management, and overseeing transaction processing, tax and insurance. You will also support the entrepreneurial initiatives of the rising generation.

You will be supported by the Family Office PA and line managed by the Head of Family Office but will also report directly to the principals as needed.

You should be able to present financial information clearly and concisely but also be comfortable with detailed analysis if required.

This position will suit an individual who is discreet and adaptable and who will enjoy the variety and learning opportunities a Family Office role affords.

As a member of a small team, strong interpersonal skills are essential as well as is an ability to work independently with the capacity to prioritize assignments and effectively manage their time.

Experience working with high net worth individuals with a high attention to detail is advantageous. The Family Office would also like to find a problem solver who is intellectually curious.

Required Skills

  • Qualified ACA
  • Good understanding of KYC/AML/CRS/FATCA reporting requirements
  • Strong Fluency with Excel formulas and functions
  • Outstanding organisational skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills

The Role

  • Working with the investment team on legal, tax and structuring family office investments
  • Cash management
  • Reviewing/vetting investment documentation and overseeing the execution process
  • Transactional accounting across investment entities
  • Investment valuations and reconciliations
  • Preparation of investment reports, performance analysis, benchmarking
  • Liaising with Trustees in administering companies and trusts and preparing annual accounts
  • Responding to requests for and preparing KYC info.
  • Management reporting to include monthly and annual reports, trend analysis and exception reporting.
  • Cash flow forecasting
  • Maintenance of personal and trading accounting records and oversight of bill payment
  • Payroll administration and liaison with the tax advisers
  • General office admin (as required)
  • Additional ad hoc projects and reports

Remuneration will likely be commensurate with the responsibilities of the role.
