Did you know that male and female Chief Executive Officers who work for Family Offices are paid exactly the same?
Mining our benchmark data and we were able to unravel the fact that Family Office CEOs are paid entirely equally, regardless of their gender.
The survey found that despite 72% of CEOs in the UK being male, the majority of both genders take home the same amount of salary each year.
The most common salary belonging to male CEOs (22%) was between £150,001 and £200,000 with the most common salary taken home by female CEOs (25%) sitting at exactly the same mark. The next most popular salary selected by 15% of female CEOs was £120,001 and £150,000 while a further 15% said their salary reached over £400,000 a year. 15% of male CEOs also told us that they received between £120,001 and £150,000 and a further 15% also said they reach over the £400,000 a year mark.
While gender parity has evidently been achieved, the c-suite is certainly not equal and Family Offices are doing their bit to change this as 28% of Family Offices told Agreus that they would be looking to hire a female leader in the next 12 months.
Family Offices are unregulated but despite this, they invest heavily in Environmental, Sustainability and Governance causes. They support their local communities and clearly care deeply about ensuring their people are engaged and paid fairly, regardless of any factors the corporate world may deem necessary to discriminate against.
As a result, Family Offices have developed a reputation for being pillars of the community and this is perhaps an example of where more can be achieved when less targets are enforced and organisations are trusted to make their own decisions.
