We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our small, high-performing, high-energy team. This hands-on role is ideal for a versatile, detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in an environment where team members wear multiple hats to deliver results. You will bring strong technical expertise in multi-entity environments, family offices, private aviation, and specialized areas such as payroll accounting. The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial operations, month-end and quarter-end processes, financial reporting, audits, and tax compliance. The ability to work with minimal direction, take ownership, and proactively create visibility where it is needed is essential in our lean team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full month-end and quarter-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and consolidation of financial statements across multiple entities.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including consolidated financial statements, management reports, and board-level presentations.
  • Handle payroll accounting, including processing, reconciliation of payroll liabilities, benefits, and related period-end entries. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, including preparation of annual budgets, periodic forecasts, and ongoing performance analysis against budget and prior periods.
  • Aaccounting for multiple entities and family office structures, including intercompany transactions, eliminations, and consolidated reporting. This includes specialized accounting for private aviation assets and operations.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies across all accounting activities

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in a Senior Accountant or equivalent role.
  • Strong experience in multi-entity accounting, and family office environments is highly preferred.
  • Proven expertise in payroll accounting, reconciliations, and compliance with complex payroll regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with month-end/quarter-end close, financial reporting, audits, and tax filings. (tax and audit managed by outside firm)
  • Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis.
  • Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks or similar) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Experience in private aviation accounting (including aircraft ownership, operations, depreciation, maintenance reserves, and related tax treatments) is a plus.
  • Comfortable working in a small-team setting where flexibility and willingness to wear multiple hats are essential.
