A London-based international single family office is seeking to appoint a commercially minded and highly capable Deputy CFO / COO to support the Head of the Family Office across a broad range of operational, financial, and strategic matters.

The successful candidate will play a central role in the day-to-day management and evolution of the family office, working closely with principals and senior stakeholders across multiple areas of activity and investment.
The role requires a highly adaptable and hands-on individual who combines strong people leadership and operational oversight with a solid understanding of finance, structuring, governance, and family office best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations and coordination of the London family office
- Act as a trusted deputy to the Head of the Family Office across operational, financial, and strategic initiatives
- Lead and manage a small multidisciplinary team, including finance, administration, household, and business affairs functions
- Support governance, reporting, cashflow oversight, budgeting, and financial controls
- Coordinate with external advisers including legal, tax, banking, investment, and fiduciary professionals
- Assist with structuring matters across entities, investments, and jurisdictions
- Drive operational efficiencies, processes, and organisational development within an evolving entrepreneurial environment
- Support special projects, transactions, and broader business interests of the principals as required
- Maintain oversight across the various activities of the family office while balancing strategic priorities with day-to-day execution
Candidate Profile
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Approximately 7+ years’ post-qualification experience
- Prior experience within a family office, private office, investment office, or closely held entrepreneurial environment is highly desirable
- Strong leadership and people management capability, with experience overseeing multidisciplinary teams
- Commercially minded, pragmatic, and solutions-oriented
- Comfortable operating in a hands-on, non-corporate environment with changing priorities
- Broad understanding of family office operations, including finance, governance, structuring, tax coordination, and administration
- High levels of discretion, professionalism, and emotional intelligence
- Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships internally and externally
