2025 has been an amazing year for Agreus. With continued wealth growth, an increasingly complex regulatory environment, and a heightened focus on professionalisation, Family Offices are entering a new phase. Throughout 2025, Agreus has remained at the forefront of this evolution, supporting our Family Office clients along the way.
Making Careers Happen in Family Offices
In 2025, Agreus supported 71 Family Office clients globally, across a wide range of mandates and jurisdictions. Notably, in 2024, 53% of our mandates came from newly established Family Offices, reflecting a cycle of new Family Office growth. In 2025, this profile has shifted, with 67% being established Family Offices and only 33% newly established Family Offices. This reflects a higher proportion of repeat and returning clients, many of whom are advancing into later stages of maturity upon engaging us.
Additionally, 65% of these mandates were senior roles, reflecting the continued demand for leadership and high-calibre talent within the Family Office space.
Just like in 2024, we continued to hire across multiple functional areas for Family Offices worldwide, reinforcing our position as a trusted advisor on key hires for Family Offices.
- Investment: 50% (up from 37% in 2024)
- Accounting & Finance: 24%
- Support & Operational: 13%
- Legal: 13%
Notably, we are seeing a surge in the number of investment roles compared to 2024, which is an indication of an increasingly strong demand for investment expertise in the industry. This presents great opportunities for professionals with investment backgrounds seeking new challenges.
Beyond Recruitment
In 2024, Agreus saw rising demand for compensation consulting.
In 2025, we have decided to take a step further and expand our consulting offerings to include Family Office governance and strategy planning. Beyond recruitment, we wish to be a true partner to the Family Office space, and are committed to supporting our clients as they evolve across different stages of maturity.
On top of that, Agreus continues to see strong growth across all global locations. In 2025, activity was particularly pronounced in the UAE and the USA, where new Family Offices emergence, relocation and expansion were key themes.
Engaging with the Industry and Contributing Knowledge
This year, we continue to engage actively with the Family Office community, contributing insight, sharing best practices, and strengthening relationships across different markets. Throughout 2025, we participated in a range of industry events and conferences, reflecting both the international scope of our work and our commitment to supporting the continued professionalisation of the Family Office ecosystem.
The events we participated in this year include:
- Mastering Family Office Investment Governance hosted by Agreus and Mercer, London
- GACO Gibraltar Association of Compliance Officers and Agreus, Family Office Event, Gibraltar
- 11th Annual Global Family Office Conference hosted by the Global Family Office Community, London
- 12th Annual UBS Family Office Summit, New York

Thought Leadership and Research
Alongside our active engagement at industry events, Agreus continues to invest significantly in original thought leadership, providing Family Offices with practical insight into talent, governance and organisational best practice.
In 2025, our thought leadership placed increased emphasis on professionalisation, risk management and long-term sustainability. A key milestone during the year was the launch of our very own Family Office Maturity Model Report, where we outlined a structured framework through which Family Offices can assess their current operating model, identify areas of risk, and define a clear pathway towards professionalisation. The report has been widely referenced by clients as a practical tool to support governance development and strategic decision-making.
We were also proud to publish the 2025 Global Family Office Compensation Benchmark Report, produced in collaboration with KPMG Private Enterprise. Building on previous editions, the 2025 report delivered an expanded global dataset, offering Family Offices deeper insight into compensation structures across investment, finance, legal, and operational roles. The report has played a central role in helping clients attract and retain senior talent in an increasingly competitive market.
Apart from white paper reports, we have also published a consistent stream of commentary and analysis on key industry themes, including:
- Governance frameworks and oversight
- Senior leadership and succession planning
- Other key trends that shape the Family Office space
Through this work, Agreus remains committed to contributing knowledge to the Family Office community and supporting clients as they navigate an increasingly complex global environment. For more insights, please visit our knowledgebase.
Hear from the Founders
“2025 has been another exciting year at Agreus, and we are truly grateful and honoured to be working with such a large number of returning clients. Over the past year, we have supported many newly established Family Offices, several of which have progressed further along their journey and made additional hires to help professionalise their operations. This trend has been evident across all regions and is encouraging to see, with professionalisation firmly established as a key global theme.
This momentum is reinforced by the launch of our Family Office Maturity Model report, which highlights the critical steps Family Offices can take to reduce risk and enhance long-term returns.
We have continued to see strong Family Office growth across all our global locations, with particular emphasis on the UAE and the USA. However, families and Family Offices continue to gravitate towards the world’s leading financial hubs, including the UK.
It has also been a pleasure to expand our consulting services and to see the tangible value this brings to our clients. We were especially proud to launch our 2025 Global Family Office Compensation Benchmark Report in collaboration with KPMG, which delivered even more comprehensive global data to the wider Family Office ecosystem.
Looking ahead, we are equally excited to announce the upcoming launch of our Governance report, produced in collaboration with UBS Americas, scheduled for early 2026.”
